EQUIKEN® OSTIKEN™ Disarticulated Sets
Producer: Anatomy in Clay25% life-sized
Taken from the EQUIKEN® Classic Model, these substructures engage students in detailed examination, identification, and analysis. Compare individual bones of the equine skeleton to each other or the other mammalian bones to gain a new understanding of commonalities and differences.
Our equine substructures are 25% of life size, while our human substructures are 40% and canine substructures 35%. This makes them all roughly equal in size. Students can be presented with bones from different species and challenged to identify origin by analyzing the structures. Most educators order both left and right structures, since comparing the two delivers a powerful lesson in symmetry. However, either side can be ordered separately.
